Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar Base for sweetness and texture
  • 1/2 cup Dry Milk Adds richness and creaminess
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Enhances flavor
  • 3 tbsp Butter Boosts flavor and texture
  • 1/2 cup Honey or Corn Syrup Provides sweetness and moisture

Instructions

Making the Candy

  • Mix and warm the powdered sugar, butter, and honey (or corn syrup) in a regular saucepan until just combined. Do not boil.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and dry milk.
  • Knead the dough until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into three portions. Color one yellow, one orange, and leave the last portion plain.
  • Make little ropes with the colors, layering yellow, orange, and white.
  • Smush and slice them into triangles.

Notes

If the dough is too crumbly, add a drop of milk. If it's too soft, chill for ten minutes in the fridge. Keep extra dough covered to prevent it from drying out.
